Upper Airedale Junior Cricket League first drew stumps in 1954 and has provided opportunity for development of junior cricketers ever since. The league is centred around the Yorkshire townships of Skipton and Keighley and extends into east Lancashire around the Colne-Nelson conurbation, as far north as Settle, in Ribblesdale, to Bolton Abbey in the east and Bingley & Denholme in the south. In the 2008 season the league will comprise 23 clubs with 73 teams competing in five age groups. Clubs represented: Bingley Congs, Bolton Abbey, Bradley, Cowling, Crossflatts, Denholme, Earby, Embsay, Gargrave, Glusburn, Haworth, Haworth West End, Ingrow, Keighley, Oakworth, Oxenhope, Pendle Forest, Settle, Silsden, Skipton, Steeton, Sutton-in-Craven, & Upper Wharfedale.
